Satan’s thoughts would be fully revealed at the Cross.  There, love and selfishness would stand face to face, Jesus lived only to bless others.  By putting Him to death, Satan showed the depth of his hate.  He made it clear that the real purpose of his rebellion was to pull God down from the throne of the universe and to destroy the One through whom God’s love was shown.

From the manger to the Cross, Jesus’ life was a call to selflessness.  It exposed the real purposes of people.  Jesus came with the truth of heaven.  Those who listened to the voice of the Holy Spirit were drawn to Him.  Those who worshipped self, whether they knew it  or not, were Satan’s followers.  By their attitude toward Jesus, all who met Him showed which side they were on.
