Erin was very exited to know that there are some people out in the community interested in bringing attention to the much needed adoption of pets, that for some reason or other have fallen into the description:  abandoned, not wanted anymore, cannot afford you anymore; like I just had a baby and with the diapers being so expensive I cannot afford to buy your pet food anymore?

  1. I used to volunteer at the shelter when I was in junior high. It was a rewarding experience, knowing you were helping care for animals that were abandoned. It was also just heartbreaking 😦 it was hard leaving that shelter at the end of the day, I wanted to take all the cats home. But then I would be a cat lady! Lol but I have a lot of love and respect for those who work the shelters 🙂

  2. Your blog is great, I would like to read more though and maybe see some pictures of the animals. I love dogs and would love to have my own one day when I am all settled with a family or have my own place. Your blog inspired me to get a dog from a shelter rather than just buying one at a pet shop. And your right, it’s sad how people just can’t afford their dogs anymore right, but it’s good that they give them away to shelters rather than just leaving them on the street. Do you have any pets of your own?
